The “Pushkin’s Autumn” Festival in the Russian Language Centre of HSE - Nizhny Novgorod
Russian Language Centre listeners from various countries came together to demonstrate their skills in artistic reading and share their interpretation of timeless works.
The competition consisted of 2 stages: prepared and unprepared reading. In the first round, participants declared their favourite Alexander Pushkin’s poems learnt by heart. The second round involved reading an unfamiliar text provided just before the performance. Both stages allowed for a comprehensive evaluation of the contestants’ artistic abilities and command of the Russian language.
The jury was carefully selected: managers from the Russian Language Centre and Tatiana Zhleznova, a talented HSE - Nizhny Novgorod student (group 22ФПЛ2), estimated the performances with due attention, focusing practically on artistry, depth of interpretation and understanding of the text.
The competition winners are:
1st place – Ella Clarot
2nd place – Zhang Kailin
3rd place – Li Jiayin
All the winners received valuable prizes, and the participants were awarded certificates for their active involvement in the competition along with commemorative gifts.
We are proud of our talented listeners and thank every participant for their contribution to preserving and promoting Russian culture.
