The School of Social Sciences is part of the Faculty of Humanities. It teaches both special and general subjects (Sociology, History, and Philosophy) at the Faculty of Humanities and all educational programmes of HSE Nizhny Novgorod. The school consists of four professors who are high-level specialists in Humanities and Social Sciences.
The teaching staff are permanent members of professional associations. They collaborate with the Russian Academy of Sciences, international and Russian universities, and research institutes.
Students and postgraduates can participate in research and educational projects, receive information, and publish the results of their research in professional journals. Some professors are members of public councils, working groups, and commissions under regional authorities.
