The School of Social Science, which is a part of the faculty of Humanities, provides teaching of General subjects (sociology, history, philosophy) in all educational programs of the Nizhny Novgorod branch, special courses at the faculty of Humanities and language training of students in English and German.
The School employs both Russian and foreign teachers; the latter are particularly involved in teaching German-language courses. Many professors and associate professors of the School are authors of textbooks and monographs in the areas in which they actively conduct research.
