This mini course will cover fundamental results regarding numerical methods on

systems of linear equations, nonlinear equations, interpolation and approximation,

the eigenvalue problem, and  introduction to optimization. Emphasis will be given to algorithm complexity, stability of algorithms, and recent developments in the field.
