Course Syllabus

Abstract

The purpose of mastering the discipline "Methods and models of strategic development of the organization" is the formation of professional skills and abilities in the field of strategic development of the organization, development of a systemic view of business, obtaining knowledge of classical and modern models of the organization's strategic development. Training is based primarily on interactive methods. Within the discipline, the following sections are studied: - Recognizing and Shaping Opportunities - Sustaining Competitive Advantage - Directions for Strategic Development: Competing Globally - Attracting Talent and Building Ecosystems - Executing Strategic Development Recommended prerequisite: Management Fundamentals, Strategic Management Within the discipline, current and final control is carried out. The current control assesses the work of students at the seminar sessions (the degree of preparedness and activity of participation in group discussions of theoretical materials and practical cases), and five tests are provided. Final control is carried out by means of a group case aimed at accumulating all the knowledge and approaches obtained in theoretical and practical exercises.

  • The student reproduce the essence of the concept of competitive advantage, can implement the models and approaches of identifying competitive advantage and make it sustainable.
  • The student reproduce the framework of executing strategy and assess the executing strategy process in a company

Assessment Elements

  • non-blocking Presentation
    The students are devided into groups ( 3-6 peeople in each group). They perform the presentation in digital form at home using the material of the lection and additional sources. Then they represent their work at class and answer the questions of the auditory.
  • non-blocking Answer the questions
    Students give the answers to teacher's question in English orally. The questions are created to understand if the students are able to operate the concepts, terms and definition of each topic of the lections.
  • non-blocking Final assignment + Presentation
    Answer in written form ( 1 page) + Presentation created in group on the same topic.
