Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course allows you to obtain basic knowledge and practical skills in the application of modern methods of audit and diagnosis, modelling, optimization and improvement of business processes (including the use of automation tools).

  • Learning the methodology for modeling business processes
  • Gaining practical skills in modeling, analyzing and improving business processes
Expected Learning Outcomes

Expected Learning Outcomes

  • Students will know the basic principles of process discovery, conformance checking and process mining constituting the area process mining.
  • Knows: databases and data warehouses; functional classes of analytical systems. Knows: optimization systems; expert systems. Owns the concept of operating business intelligence; analytical reporting. Knows: ERP systems; cloud solutions.
  • have a good understanding of Business Process Intelligence techniques (in particular process mining)
  • have a good understanding of the data needed to start a process mining project
  • • the relationships between ERP systems and an organisation’s performance
  • Understand BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) basic principles.
  • Reproduce basic elements of BPMN notation and diagramming rules in BPMN notation
  • Create a business process model in BPMN notation
  • Understand what software robots (RPA - Robotic Process Automation) are and how they differ from classic automation tools
  • Have a basic understanding of what areas of companies' activities and in what classes of tasks software robots are most applicable
  • Know all stages of the business process and life cycle of development, implementation and maintenance of software robots
