Course Syllabus

Abstract

The purpose of mastering the discipline "Tools for development of the organization" is the formation of professional skills and abilities in the field of strategic development of the organization, development of a systemic view of business, obtaining knowledge of classical and modern models of the organization's strategic development. Within the discipline, the following topics are studied: - Recognizing and Shaping Opportunities - Sustaining Competitive Advantage - Directions for Strategic Development: Competing Globally. Training is based primarily on interactive methods.

Learning Objectives

• The purpose of mastering the discipline "Tools for development of the organization" is the formation of professional skills and abilities in the field of strategic development of the organization, development of a systemic view of business, obtaining knowledge of classical and modern models of the organization's strategic development.

Expected Learning Outcomes

• lists the main stages of organizational design and explains their essence, analyzes the theoretical foundations and practical methods of organizational design
• compares the main models of choosing an organizational development strategy, makes a choice
• formulates the basic theoretical prerequisites of organizational development, analyzes its main methods and features of their application

• Development of an organization: prerequisites, resources, conditions, methods
• Organizational design
• Models for choosing strategies for the development of an organization

Assessment Elements

• Presentation (company analytics)
  The topic of the presentation could be proposed by the student according the lecture topic.
• Control work ( module 1)
  The control work is performed at home. This written work is 40 % of the first module total mark.
• Essay

• 2023/2024 2nd module
  Total mark consists of two marks ( one mark for each module). TotalM=1ModuleTM+2ModuleTM 1 Module TM =0,45(presentations 1,2,3)+ 0,15 (Essay)+ 40 (Control work) 2 Module TM= 0,33 (presentation 4)+0,33 (presentation 5) +0,34 (presentation 6)
