Computer Science and Technologies

This interdisciplinary programme prepares leading IT specialists (system analysts, developers, architects, researchers) who will be able to use cutting-edge technologies to solve advanced tasks in information system and software development, as well as computer science.

The range of tracks offered by the programme includes corporate information systems, high-load information systems, decision support information systems, IoT information systems, computer science, and optimisation.

Professionals who can use the full range of IT technologies, business analysis and IT project management are in high demand due to the fast development of IT clusters, informatisation of public bodies, and digital transformation of businesses.

Team of HSE University and UNN Students Wins Hackathon to Create IT Centre
A joint team of students from HSE University in Nizhny Novgorod and Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod (UNN) won the main prize of the Smart Campus student hackathon and a certificate for 25 million roubles to create an inter-university IT centre. The award was presented by Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

University-Wide Open Day to Be Held for Prospective Students
On March 12, HSE University will hold a university-wide Open Day for prospective students of bachelor’s and specialist programmes. The event will be held in the Pokrovka Building and will feature presentations by faculties and campuses, a talk by the Admissions Office, activities from student organisations, a tour of the university’s historical buildings and much more. Those interested in attending must register in advance.
