The aim of the Conference is to engage specialists working in different fields of research: linguists, philosophers, specialists in literature, specialists in cultural studies, historians, sociologists to the discussion of the current problems of cultural interaction between these two countries.

Submitted proposals for presentation should address the following themes (but there is no limit to the list of the themes):

  • History, economics, policy of Russia and France in the17th century;
  • French and Russian culture of the 17th century: architecture, painting, music, theatre;
  • French scientific discourse of the 17th century;
  • French and Russian literature of the 17th century;
  • The official language problem in Russia and France of the 17th century
