Political Linguistics: from Ancient Rhetoric to the Digital Humanities

Department of Humanities of Higher School of Economics - Nizhny Novgorod invites students to take part in the International Winter School «Political Linguistics from Ancient Rhetoric to the Digital Humanities».

Winter School students will discuss verbal and non-verbal communications in Russian politics, get acquainted with corpus techniques and intent-analysis of political discourse. Winter school program will include lectures of the leading experts in the field of political linguistics and political communication as well as master-classes which will allow participants to explore new technologies and techniques of linguistic and political analysis.

Winter School participants will join the students of two educational programs of Humanities Department («Fundamental and Applied Linguistics», «Political Linguistics») for one day and will explore historical and cultural sights of Nizhny Novgorod.
