The climate of Nizhny Novgorod is temperate continental, in general, the weather is colder than Moscow.
The average winter temperature is -15 °C, but temperatures can reach -30 °C.
Summer is warm, sunny, with intermittent rains and occasional thunderstorms, the average temperature is about +20 °C. The temperature can sometimes reach +35 °C.
In autumn, it often rains in Nizhny Novgorod, in October the temperature usually does not exceed +10 °C.
Snow falls in the second half of November, and melts by mid-April.
