Those Weird Frenchmen
Do they really eat frogs’ legs? Do they wear striped vests and berets with a baguette under their arms? Do they dine for two hours, eating moldy cheese? Are they snobs or romantics? Are they lazy or just really enjoy life? Students from France answered all these questions and more during the meeting of the International Club in Nizhny Novgorod.
According to the Russian tradition, students from Russia, Austria and Italy gathered in the Austrian library with tea and cookies to listen to the story of Leah, Juliette and Clémence and to find out what real Frenchmen are. The girls thoroughly prepared for the presentation: they talked about the most common stereotypes, cinema, music, national heroes and, of course, about French cuisine. At the end they sang a French children’s song about a green mouse that turns into a snail.
Next week, a presentation about Italy will be organized on the same time and in the same place: 29 September 29th, Tuesday, 16.00, the Austrian library. The participants will taste Italian pizza and more!
Alessandra, Italy: ‘It was great! But Italian food is the best in the world and our presentation will be even better!’
