Course description:
The aim of the course is to teach effective communication in business, including the knowledge of English for special purposes. A special emphasis is placed on communication in conditions of social and cultural diversity. The core of the course is analyzing and practicing effective communication techniques in different business situations such as negotiations, leading a team, effectively presenting, making small talk, etc. Students lean to argue their point at a debate and to present and discuss relevant topics in economics. They also learn to search for and assess information found in business and economic periodicals and online sources, such as The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, The Economist, etc.
