How to Settle into the Dormitory 2
STEP 1
Prepare the Documents
- passport and its copy (page with your photo),
- translation of the passport and its copy,
- migration card (you will get a migration card at the Russian border),
- photo 3x4 cm,
- negative result on a PCR diagnostic tests for COVID-19 (you should pass the test within 48 hours BEFORE you enter Russia).
- medical certificate in the form specified in Annex 8 of the internal regulations of the student residence (Annex 8).
STEP 2
Submit Online Arrival Form
After you buy a ticket, please submit online Arrival Form. You can move into the dormitory only if you submit online arrival form at least 1 day before your arrival. If your arrival details change, please notify us immediately by e-mail internationalnn@hse.ru or by phone +79159320816 (WhatsApp, Telegram).
STEP 3
Arrive at the Dormitory 2
Dormitory No.2 is located at 100 Kuznechikhinskaya street, Nizhny Novgorod. You can find how to get to the dormitory from the airport or the train station in the section How to Get Here.
STEP 4
Submit Documents to the Dormitory Administration and Sign a Lease Agreement
You should submit the following documents to the Dormitory Administration:
- passport and its copy (page with your photo),
- translation of the passport and its copy,
- migration card,
- photo 3x4 cm;
- medical certificate to confirm that you are in good health.
When you arrive you will need to show your documents at the 24-hour reception on the 1st floor of the building. There you will also can get an entry card.
To sign a lease agreement and other official documents, you need to contact the HSE Dormitory Administrator Svetlana Vladimirovna Shekurova, 3rd floor, room 223.
STEP 5
Buy a Health Insurance
Please read the information about health insurance and consider options offered by the insurance companies in Nizhny Novgorod in the section Health Insurance. Usually, a health insurance is valid for 1 year.
STEP 6
Get Registered at the Migration Service
In order to get registered in the Migration Service, you need to contact the International Office (room 113, 1V Lvovskaya st. OR room 412, 25/12 Bolshaya Pecherskaya str.) at the first working day upon arrival. Please bring your passport and migration card with you.

STEP 7
Pay your Accommodation Fees
Accommodation fees shall be paid by residents for each period, starting from the check-in date (when they move into a dormitory), every month and no later than the 10th day of every month that follows the payment period, as per their respective Lease Agreements (for example, you must pay the fee for September till October 10).
