Semester in Nizhny Novgorod

Incoming Exchange Programmes for Students From HSE Partner Universities

How to apply

If your home University is a partner University of HSE University in Nizhny Novgorod or your University has the University-wide cooperation with HSE University, you may apply to study at HSE University in Nizhny Novgorod as an exchange student

You need to contact the International Relations Office of your University or Faculty and apply for an exchange programme at HSE University in Nizhny Novgorod. The Student Exchange Coordinator at your university will advise you on the requirements and conditions of the exchange programme.

Nomination procedure

For Student Exchange Coordinators: Please fill online-nomination out about each student to provide us with the detailed information about your candidates.

Nomination Deadlines:

For the fall semester/one academic year - April 30

For the spring semester - September 30

If you missed the deadline, please contact the International Relations Office (please, keep in mind that it may take up to 1 month to obtain a Russian study visa).

After your University sends online-nomination, the International Relations Office will contact you by email.

 Tuition fee

Students from Partner Universities are exempt from paying tuition fees at the HSE University in Nizhny Novgorod.

AVAILABLE COURSES

As an exchange student at the HSE University in Nizhny Novgorod, you can choose from a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Nizhny Novgorod campus, the online-courses on different platforms and also the inter-campus courses. Inter-campus courses are provided with the use of distance learning technologies. Students are free to select courses available under any programmes implemented at any of HSE University’s campuses (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm).

Students can choose English-taught and Russian-taught courses. Russian taught courses are also available if you are fluent in Russian (a minimum of B2 proficiency level is required). It is possible for a Bachelor student to enroll in a Master-level course, if your home university allows.
