'Kapustnik' at HSE – Niznhy Novgorod
At Higher School of Economics — Nizhny Novgorod, the international office organizes interesting and engaging events. One of them is the event called “Kapustnik”, which takes place every week at the university. During this event, international students are invited to present a few facts about their own countries and prepare a traditional or cultural dish for other students to try. Such an event really gives one a unique, insider’s perspective on different cultures, straight from people who were raised in those cultures.
Interntional Club meets Ukraine and Korea
This year we continue our Tuesday’s cultural meetings “Kapustnik stran” where the international students present their native countries and share the secrets of their culture and traditions. The 2016 opens with the Ukrainian evening, then the baton passed to our Korean students with their mysterious motherland.
How to Find Russian Santa Claus?
On December 18 the New Year celebration ceremony was held at HSE Nizhny Novgorod. Not only HSE students, but also the students from CIS countries, exchange students from France, Italy, Austria and China, and international students of the Master’s Programme in Global Business took part in the event. The participants ‘travelled’ across different countries looking for Grandfather Frost (Russian Santa Claus), and finally they found him.
