7th Bremen Summer School Symposium «Dynamical systems - pure and applied»

The staff of the Laboratory of Topological Methods in the Dynamics A. Kazakov and E. Samylina, as well as students of the Department of Fundamental Mathematics Yu. Bakhanova, A. Bobrovsky, T. Burdygina, E. Kuryzhov and D. Sukharev took part in the 7th Bremen Summer School Symposium «Dynamical systems - pure and applied» (Bremen, Germany)  in August 5-9.

7th Bremen Summer School Symposium «Dynamical systems - pure and applied»

Participants of the conference presented papers devoted to various topics in theory of dynamical systems: bifurcations theory, theory of Lorentz attractors and quasi attractors:

Yu. Bakhanova, A. Kazakov «Applying of 1D mappings to study Shilnikov spiral attracors in strongly dissipative three-dimensional flows»;
A. Bobrovsky, I. Korenkov, K. Safonov,  A. Kazakov  «On the boundary between Lorenz attractor and quaisattractor in Shimizu-Morioka system»;
A. Gonchenko, E. Samylina  «On the region of existence of discrete Lorenz attractor in a nonholonomic Celtic stone model»
D. Sukharev, T. Burdygina «Bifurcation analysis of two-dimensional dissipative cubic Henon maps».

The School agenda included several mini-courses by leading scientists: Ansgar Jüngel (TU Vienna, Austria), Tanja Eisner (University of Leipzig, Germany), Alex Kontorovich (Rutgers University, USA).

More information about the School is available on its website.
