Inauguration of the New Edition of the Global Business Program

Yesterday HSE in Nizhny Novgorod hosted yet another opening of the international Master Program Global Business (taught entirely in English). As is already customary for the program representatives of all the three partner universities attended the ceremony.

For the fourth year HSE in Nizhny Novgorod delivers a one-of-a-kind Master's program - international Global Business program which is taught in collaboration with Johannes Kepler University (Austria) and University of Bergamo (Italy). 

Yesterday the Nizhny Novgorod campus of HSE hosted yet another opening ceremony of the program. As is already customary representatives of all the three partner universities attended the ceremony. University of Bergamo was represented by Matteo Kalchschmidt, PhD, Vice-chancellor for Internationalization and International Relations and Giovanna Zanotti, PhD, the Global Business program coordinator at UniBG. Daniel Semper, Global Business director at JKU participated in the event on behalf of JKU administration. Professor Semper opens the international part of the program with two of his courses - Cultural Awareness and Global Governance.

To be honest, i am even a bit jealous of the Global Business students. Of course, you will need to work very hard, however, it is not only about studies or business, it is about the intercultural communication and mutual enrichment outside the classroom.

Prof. Valery Zusman, the director of Nizhny Novgorod campus of HSE and Prof. Natalia Gronskaya, deputy director, addressed the students with the commencement speech, expressing hope for further successful collaboration and dialogue of cultures. 

In the course of the partner meeting that took place earlier that day partners discussed the possibility of opening the track of double degree program and plans for program development.

Now the 21 students from Russia, Austria, Italy, France, and India have 2,5 months of intensive work ahead of them. They will work on the business projects of the Russian companies, visit a number of Russian companies, get acquainted with the local and international business operators working on the Russian market. Interestingly, this year quite a few of foreign students actually speak Russian and are quite familiar with the Russian culture.
