A Postcard from Austria: Global Business Students Share New Experiences

The students of the international Master Program Global Business completed the second trimester of their studies at Johannes Kepler University (Linz). They told us about their recent developments fist hand.

Greetings from Austria!

The second part of the international year of the ‘Troika’ program at JKU came to an end far too rapidly. I can definitely say that it is not easy to describe this experience in a couple of words! Each week was filled with new acquaintances, new companies, new places, new skills, new projects…everything new! The only thing that remains unchanged is our group of 20 students from Russia, Austria and Italy.

What was our life like here at JKU for the past 3 months?

1.   Intensive workload and new courses
2.   Visits  to large Austrian companies
3.   Cultural activities and trips
4.   Travelling
5.   Interesting projects, case studies and assignments from professors
To a great extent our training is based on teamwork that makes it easier to integrate into the international environment and to find nontrivial and effective solutions through intensive brainstorming for projects.
I can say for sure that we all get a lot of fun working together on assignments and interacting with each other.

It is an amazing experience for me, for all of us: as a result of constant interaction with people from different cultures we become more and more open to the world in every sense of the word. Different traditions, habits, behavior - all that we come across as the program goes on transform us into "people without boundaries."

In the global group we feel like in a big family. The program in my opinion is good, it is really intense and the most precious value is the cultural aspect. It is really cool that we work in a multicultural team and we learnt already a lot about the other cultures.

First of all, we met wonderful people that enriched our life. This experience gave us real awareness about the sense of the life, what is important and what is not. I feel very lucky to be  a part of the programme.

I really feel grateful to be part of the programme and to have a chance to make all those unforgettable experiences abroad with amazing people. I love the mix of different cultures, languages, characters, lives. Besides, gaining knowledge about international business, I really appreciate getting to know other people from different countries and to experience together a part of our lives, take challenges together and enjoy happy moments together. It is a unique opportunity for all of us!

At the moment Global Business students are taking a well deserved break from studies mostly travelling around Europe and exploring new places. The new exciting chapter of the program will start on March, 30th in Bergamo, Italy.

We will keep you posted!
