The opening of the new edition of the Global Business programme
On October, 8 the master’s programme opening ceremony was held for all the participating students and guests. This year the international group of students consists of 24 young ambitious people from Russia, Austria, Italy, India, Pakistan, Egypt, and France.
The ceremony included a lot of activities: official part where HSE representatives (the Head of HSE - Nizhny Novgorod Valery Zusman and GB Supervisor Elena Zinchak) wished students a good time and study in Nizhny Novgorod. GB supervisor at JKU Professor Robert Breitenecker and GB supervisor at UniBG Davide Castellani emphasized the advantages of this master programme and told the students about excellent future prospect of the job placement at international companies. Special guest Elena Mishina, the Head of Committee of Foreign Economic and Interregional Relations of Nizhny Novgorod City Administration, invited all students to visit Administration to learn more about N. Novgorod.
In addition, the students and professors could enjoy dance and music performances prepared by HSE students. Students received small souvenirs from HSE and took part in an unexpected greeting from HSE students. This surprise performance for JKU and UniBG students included Russian folk dance, traditional round loaf and necklaces made of traditional Russian "doughnuts".
During the buffet reception the students and professors had an opportunity to get to know each other better and spend a nice time together.
I really liked the environment which promoted the culture, and was really exciting to see. And it was a new beginning for all of us to make new friends. Over all, it is an amazing experience to be a part of this.
I really liked the opening ceremony and that we got to know some Russian traditions. We also had a lot of fun together.

It was a very warm welcome and exciting first contact with the Russian culture and HSE. We also had the opportunity to approach our future colleagues from JKU and professors too.

The opening ceremony was awesome! We finally got acquainted with all the students of our multinational group. It was very nice to receive positive feedback about our "Russian surprise". I hope that we will become global family at the end of the year and I am really happy to be the part of this amazing program!
