Intern at Tannpapier, Linz (Austria)
class of 2014
In the second year of the GB programme I returned to JKU and got short-term internships at several Austrian companies. For the first company I did market analysis, later I had an internship at the cultural center of Linz. After graduation I moved to Austria, studying at JKU to obtain the second diploma. Now about my latest news here in Austria.
I recently got an offer from Tannpapier, international company producing paper for cigarettes. The company has 9 offices around the world as well as a plant in Russia (in Pskov). I was invited for an interview by the recommendations of the head of the company Lithos, for which I did the market research. The interview took place with two top managers: they loved my resume, took special interest in the GB curriculum and, of course, the two previous internships at the other two companies. My current internship amounts to 20 hours a week, and then, if I show my best, in June the company is willing to offer me a full time position.
In addition, I work in a local newspaper writing articles. I am sincerely grateful to the program, which has provided me the opportunity for growth and self-development, which I myself could never have imagined. So students who are currently studying in the program should appreciate this unique opportunity.
Greetings from Linz!
