Student’s Educational Conference "Mathematical Spring 2019"

The Department of Fundamental Mathematics of HSE and the Laboratory of “Topological Methods in Dynamics” (TMD) is eager to invite students, who are interested in studying different fields of Mathematics, to participate in our educational conference “Mathematical Spring 2019”.

The conference will be held on the territory of the HSE campus in Nizhny Novgorod from 2nd to 5th of May, 2019.

Participants  will have a chance to discuss theoretical and practical issues relating to current mathematical theory concerning its different aspects.

As part of the conference emeritus professors, namely, S. van Strien, Slunyaev A.V., Zhukova N., Zhuzhoma E., Pochinka O., Grines V., etc, will be giving a series of lectures on topological objects in dynamics, one-dimensional dynamics, the theory of dynamical systems on the surface, the proof of the Banach-Tarski paradox and many other intriguing topics.

Abstracts of lectures.

Students will be also given an opportunity to present the results of their research at the plenary or poster sessions.

Moreover, participants of the conference, interested in taking a degree in Mathematics at programmes organized by the Department of Fundamental Mathematics, will have an opportunity to ask for additional information from the Heads of the courses.

The organizational committee of the conference may offer help to participants with an application for visa and accommodation.
