The Head of Research Department at HSE in Nizhny Novgorod, Polina Erofeeva, gave a talk at the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands as part of her visit at the invitation of the Dean Director, Prof. Wim A. Naudé. The visit was in anticipation of the launch of a joint executive course between the HSE in Nizhny Novgorod Business School and the Maastricht School of Management Business in Russia and the Netherlands.

Dr. Erofeeva's talk focused on the Soviet legacy in contemporary Russia and was part of a series of public lectures hosted by the Maastricht School of Management to mark the Russia-Netherlands Bilateral Year. Polina Erofeeva shared some of her impressions.

- The purpose of my lecture was twofold: on the one hand, it was one in a series of lectures about Russia prepared by the Maastricht School of Management together with its Russian partners, and on the other hand, I gave this talk to support the new joint executive course ‘Business in Russia and the Netherlands’ which starts in September.

This course will allow the participants to be trained first in the Netherlands and then in Russia, to establish business contacts in both countries, and to acquire a solid body of knowledge both in Russian and in English.
