Course Syllabus

Abstract

WRC Project Proposal assessment tests the ability to write a short text that reflects the main ideas of one's own research within a specific disciplinary field. A written draft of the WRC in English should include a description of the relevance of the scientific problem, the degree of knowledge of the literature on the topic under consideration, the subject of research, the purpose and objectives of the work, the main research hypotheses defended by the author, the characteristics of the structure of the work, the expected / obtained results, a list of references. The defense of the project is carried out in the form of presentation within 6-10 minutes by the student of the project of his work and subsequent answers to the questions of the commission. The student's speech must necessarily reflect: substantiation of the relevance of the scientific problem; purpose and objectives of the work; the main research hypotheses defended by the author; general characteristics of the structure of the work; expected/obtained results. The student presents the main content of the project freely, without reading the written text. After the presentation is completed, the members of the commission ask the student questions on the topic of the presented project (discussion). After the questions have been answered, there will be a final discussion. The entire defense procedure is conducted in English.
