Seminar “Topological Methods in Dynamics”

On October 1, as part of the regular scientific seminar “Topological Methods in Dynamics”, a lecture by A. Pikovsky will be held on the topic “Strange non-chaotic attractors”. Time and place: from 15:30 to 17:00 in 314 (st. B. Pecherskaya, 25/12).
At the picture: A. Pikovsky

Strange non-chaotic attractors (SNA) can occur in nonlinear systems that are affected by a quasiperiodic force.
The talk will present several examples and describe three methods for characterizing SNA: by analyzing bifurcations in rational approximations, by analyzing Lyapunov exponents at finite times, and by analyzing correlations and spectra.
