Programme Overview

The Master’s programme offers two main study tracks:

  • Mathematical methods of economic analysis – includes learning and using econometric and other mathematical tools to study economic and financial processes;
  • Managerial economics – teaches to solve economic challenges in management.

The programme trains professionals who combine deep knowledge in contemporary economics with advanced skills in mathematical tools, have the ability to work with applied software, and thoroughly understand business processes in real sector companies.

The courses offered as part of the programme create a wide range of opportunities for:

  • Academic careers and successful employment in applied research;
  • Work in public and municipal agencies; real sector companies; and financial, economic and analytical departments of firms, banks and insurance companies, which all require professional knowledge in economics, mathematics, statistics, and computer technology.

The programme includes a research seminar, where the students learn through real case studies. Case study moderators are professionals from Sberbank, AIS Russia, Sibur, and other leading Russian and international companies.
