Curriculum

The program takes two full years of study and is worth 120 ECTS credits (including all courses, course projects, teaching and research practice, and preparation of the Master's thesis).

All students fill their individual study plans (ISPs). The ISPs are subjected to approval by the advisor and the international MSc students coordinator.

The admission, the required courses, the determination of grades, the organization of exams and the procedures for mutual recognition are governed by the rules and regulation of the respective programs: the M.Sc. in Computational Mathematics at the University of Passau and the Mathematics Master’s program at HSE, Nizhny Novgorod,information about which is available at the web sites of these universities. Program participants are pre-selected by their home university and must undergo the regular admission process in the relevant program of the host university and fulfill the admission requirements (the qualifying degree, the minimal grade etc.).

The amount of ECTS credits awarded by the University of Passau for each recognized course will correspond to the amount of credits according to the Russian system.
