University, Business and Government: Best Practices, Models and Perspectives of Interaction
An international expert seminar "University, Business and Government: Best Practices, Models and Perspectives of Interaction" was held in Moscow. The seminar was organized by the faculty of Economics and the faculty of Management of HSE’s campus in Nizhny Novgorod and RUDN University.
The seminar was attended by 85 heads of leading Russian universities (participants of the 5-100 project and main universities), representatives of federal and regional authorities and business, international and Russian experts.
Experts discussed the current state and prospects of the development of partnership among universities, business and the state concerning social and economic development of the regions of the Russian Federation and improving competitiveness of the national economy.
Riccardo Fini (Phd, Professor, Associate Dean for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Bologna Business School, IT) opened the seminar with a report “It’s all about Impact: University, business and government’s interactions across the globe”.
Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in Higher Education of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation Elena Kolesnikova noted an importance of uniting the efforts of universities, business and government on the tasks of the regions. Determination of the interaction effectivness indicators is also very actual task.
Sergey Leshchenko (Deputy Director of the Department for Strategic Development and Innovation of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation) designated, that the innovative development of the regions directly depends on the development of intellectual property management systems for universities and private companies.
Working group of HSE’s campus in Nizhny Novgorod presented a focus a model for focusing university resources and competencies on regional development tasks. That Model was developed within the contract with The Federal State Autonomous Scientific Institution Center for Sociological Research («Sociocenter»).
Heads of leading Russian universities shared their successful experience and practices in the development of innovative and business activities, as well as interaction with regional authorities.
