This July, The HSE in Nizhny Novgorod is offering a summer language school for students from Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. The foreign visitors will stay with local families in Nizhny Novgorod and attend lectures and seminars in the Russian language and culture at the Higher School of Economics.

Elena Mishina, Chair of the Committee for Foreign Economic and Interregional Relations at the Nizhny Novgorod Administration, met the foreign students at the official opening of the summer school.

- "The value of this language school is that the young people will see at firsthand life in Russia, and will meet and talk to native Russian speakers. This is particularly important for students of economics, who make up the majority of participants on in this course, since many of them see this country, and Nizhny Novgorod in particular, as a place where they may well choose to work in the future," she said.
