HSE Research Teams to Receive Russian Science Foundation Grants in 2017
The Russian Science Foundation has announced winners of its latest grant competition to support basic scientific research and exploratory scientific research conducted by research teams.
This is the third time the competition among research teams has been held and is the foundation’s largest project by the number of participants. In 2017, over 4,000 projects took part in the competition, 427 of which received support based on the results of a multi-stage expert selection. Nine projects implemented by HSE research teams are among the winners. The winning projects are led by the following HSE faculty members:
- Yurii Nesterov, Research Professor at the Big Data and Information Retrieval School
- Vyacheslav Grines, Professor at the Faculty of Informatics, Mathematics, and Computer Science (HSE Nizhny Novgorod)
- Alexander Shapoval, Professor at the Big Data and Information Retrieval School
- Stanislav Molchanov, Academic Supervisor of the Laboratory of Stochastic Analysis and its Applications
- Boris Gutkin, Leading Research Fellow at theCentre for Cognition & Decision Making
- Sergei Kuznetsov, Head of the International Laboratory for Intelligent Systems and Structural Analysis
- Marie Arsalidou, Assistant Professor at the School of Psychology
- Alexander Lukin, Professor at the School of International Affairs
- Andrei Melville, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences
