Course Syllabus

Abstract

The program:• Considers the model of computing systems as a hierarchy of interrelated information processing levels •Studies classification of computing systems by the type of architectural solutions and their scope of applications•Gives the knowledge of the main directions of development of computer technology on the state of art examples •Students will learn digital logic level, microarchitecture, instruction set architecture level, introduction to operation systems and assembler•Each IT specialist must study and can apply in his activity the Architecture of Computing Systems courseThe learning methods of the course include training and evaluation tests, self-study of the proposed material with subsequent discussion and verification. This approach is aimed to develop the skill to constantly search and analysis of the latest developments in computing systems. The course proposes initial information and simple tasks for programming on assembler.
