Oopen Day for Applicants

Spring is always associated with the sun, warmth, life, the beginning, and while the weather does not please us, the HSE has organized an open day for applicants, thereby giving the beginning of preparation for the upcoming academic year.

One of the speeches that the applicants came to listen to with great interest at Jupiter was a story of linguistics students about a chatbot. The bot with the wonderful name NiNA was developed on the Aimylogic platform from Just AI company as a part of a project seminar by a group of six students of the master's program “Applied Linguistics and Text Analytics”. The main purpose of the assistant bot is to answer questions from foreign students about life in Nizhny Novgorod. The Russian-speaking part of the project team presented their project: Valery Zhdanova, Artem Mikulinsky and Valeria Novikova. During the presentation, the audience had the opportunity to test themselves the effectiveness of the chatbot in Telegram (which you can also do! See the instructions in the photo). Everyone liked the presentation very much, as evidenced by the large number of questions at the end of the speech. Future applicants asked about the project itself and about the program, showing genuine interest in the only one such programme in Nizhny Novgorod.
