“Language Mosaic” at HSE: How It Happened
On February 19–20, HSE University, Nizhny Novgorod hosted the vibrant festival “Language Mosaic,” dedicated to International Mother Language Day. For two days, the campus transformed into a space of lively intercultural dialogue, where music filled the air, new friendships were formed, and the languages of the world intertwined into a colorful mosaic.

On May 18, as part of the "Master's Day", future applicants had the opportunity to get to know more about the Master's programme "Applied Linguistics and Text Analytics". The meeting was attended by students from various fields, including those who did not major in Linguistics as bachelors. Such interest indicates the growing popularity of interdisciplinary programs and the high demand for specialists who are proficient in text analysis and data processing.

Eye Tracking Can Help Identify Aggressive Tendencies in Adolescents
Scientists at Privolzhsky Research Medical University (PRMU) and the Centre for Language and Brain Studies at the HSE Campus in Nizhny Novgorod have developed methods to diagnose autoaggressive and heteroaggressive tendencies in adolescents using eye-tracking technology. This will allow psychiatrists and psychologists to address this condition in young people before they may harm themselves or others. Anna Khomenko, Senior Research Fellow of the Centre for Language and Brain Studies at the HSE Campus in Nizhny Novgorod, presented the results of the project at the NeuroThursday seminar.
