The III International Scientific Student Conference in Volgograd
Student of the program "Applied Linguistics and Text Analytics" Mahmood Othman Mahmood shares his emotions after participating in the III International Scientific Student Conference in Volgograd
"May 11th, 2023, is a date I shall never forget. I had the privilege of presenting my paper at the III International Scientific Student Conference in Volgograd, Russia. The conference's goal is to promote international relationships and the exchange of research experiences among students from diverse universities across the world. More than 400 participants from 8 countries attended the conference, and around 200 scientists, higher education professionals, lecturers, undergraduates, and students presented papers.
I had the opportunity to present my paper and listen to the presentations from the world's top linguists. The topic of the speech I offered attracted the attendees' interest since it was directly related to my work as a police officer. The title of the presentation was "From Words to Actions: A Forensic Linguistic Interpretation of Threatening and Malicious Texts." The primary purpose of this research is to analyse threatening language in order to make it more straightforward for investigators and courts to understand threatening communications.
I am delighted to share with you the conference’s results, in which I won the first place according to the conference results chosen by the member's expert jury. At this point, I want to thank everyone and congratulate the organisers of the conference for accomplishing the job successfully."
