Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course "Selected Chapters in Cell Biology" covers key aspects of cell biology, focusing on the specificity of cells from various groups of eukaryotes, characteristics of membrane structure and function, intercellular signaling processes, thermodynamic foundations of life, regulation of the cell life cycle, mechanisms for storing and implementing genetic information, as well as the perception of physical fields and radiation by living organisms.

  • A student knows main types of cells, main organoids of cells, their functions.
  • A student knows main types of cells signaling, types of receptors and reaction times.
  • A student knows definition and conditions of homeostasis, metabolic map, Gibbs energy, ways ud energy transformation. A student knows about mathematical modeling in bioenergetics
  • A student knows main oscillating processes in organisms and cells, base of synthetic biology.
  • A student knows a modern ideas about the mechanisms of the emergence of new genes
  • A student knows principle of perception of electromagnetic waves of the radio frequency range by organisms, the risks of EM pollution of the environment
