Cambridge English at the HSE Nizhny Novgorod

Ten students from the Faculty of Law at the HSE Nizhny Novgorod received International Legal English Certificates (ILEC) confirming their high level of English proficiency in the legal profession.

Ten students from the Faculty of Law at the HSE Nizhny Novgorod received International Legal English Certificates (ILEC) confirming their high level of English proficiency in the legal profession.  ILEC is the world’s first Cambridge exam in English for lawyers and diplomats; those who receive it are recognized as professionals who can freely communicate in English on legal topics.

The prestigious Cambridge certificate is an excellent addition to a Higher School of Economics degree, opening the door to greater career prospects for recipients.

The HSE Nizhny Novgorod actively cooperates with the University of Cambridge. In May 2014, an agreement between the HSE Nizhny Novgorod and Cambridge University Press was signed during the international conference ‘Russia and England: Oncoming Traffic. Economics, Politics, Culture’. The University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) will cooperate with the HSE in preparing students for Cambridge exams. In addition, Cambridge professors are planning to visit HSE’s Nizhny Novgorod campus to give lectures.
