HSE Students Won KPMG Interuniversity Case Competition
On April 14th, the KPMG 2016 Inter-university Case Competition for students of Nizhny Novgorod’s universities took place at the KPMG office. Students of the Faculty of Economics of HSE Nizhny Novgorod took first place in the contest.
After the qualifying rounds, five teams from three Nizhny Novgorod universities made it to the finals: HSE Nizhny Novgorod, Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod and Dobrolyubova State Linguistic University of Nizhny Novgorod.
In the competition the participants took part in a business analysis: they examined the problem, suggested a solution, and presented the results to the jury. The case study took an hour. All case materials as well as team presentations and questions from the jury were in English.
The HSE team was represented by 3rd-year students of the programme in Economics, with German Balyanin, Daria Belkina, Arkady Goizman, Marina Nosova and Andrey Nagaev taking first place in the competition. The winners said that the secret of their success involves strong knowledge, quick thinking and good presentation skills.
