6th International Conference on Network Analysis Took Place at HSE Nizhny Novgorod

The conference on network analysis aims to bring together scientists and engineers, representatives from the government and universities to exchange knowledge and results on a broad range of topics related to the theory and practice of network analysis. The conference also covered algorithms on graphs, networks, discrete optimization and applications.

For three days researchers from all over the world shared their data, discussed topical issues, set and solved new research tasks.

The 6th International Conference on Network Analysis was an interdisciplinary event: scholars from different countries presented their research projects touching upon several related areas of study.

‘It is very important for us to share the results of our research and learn about the latest achievements by others. In addition, conferences help us cooperate with researchers in different countries, and that makes our work more productive. This event is particularly useful for young researchers. It motivates them and it shows them that their work is of very real importance both for fundamental science and its application,’ said Panos M. Pardalos, Academic Supervisor at the Laboratory of Algorithms and Technologies for Networks Analysis.

The event was organized by HSE’s Laboratory of Algorithms and Technologies for Networks Analysis. The laboratory was created in October, 2011 and is the only computer science laboratory in Nizhny Novgorod to have been awarded a grant by the Russian Ministry of Science.

The laboratory is focused on scientific research and building international relations in the field of algorithms and techniques involving algorithms and technologies for network analysis for fundamental and applied research.
