The USA Party!

On November 23 at 4 p.m., on the eve of Thanksgiving Day,  HSE-NN instructor Christian Lloyd and exchange student of the Humanities faculty Michelle Eggen presented the USA to International Club members and told the audience about the country’s history, customs, traditions, holidays and parks, famous people, popular sports and Thanksgiving celebration.

Christian comes from the state of Utah and he spoke about his homeland, its beautiful sights and resorts.

Michelle characterized her native state Texas as well as New Mexico where she has moved recently.

Those present had a chance to listen to blues, jazz, country music, and take part in quests trying to guess American singers, writers, sportsmen. The US culture dominates the world, for that reason the questions were not  difficult.

In the end of the presentation all guests had a chance to try American cuisine: delicious spicy beans, pumpkin rolls and honey pies.
