Travel Information

The school will take place at the countryside hotel "Berezka" ("Birch").

Gathering participants will be on May, 14, at 11-30 a.m. near the main entrance to Higher School of Economics in Nizhny Novgorod (HSE NN, B.Pecherskaya Str., 25/12)
Departing from “Berezka” to Nizhny Novgorod will be on May, 19, at 10-00 a.m.

How to go to the HSE NN main building form the railway station

First you need to cross the square near the railway station. The undeground pedestrian crossing will be to the left. Then you should take the bus №2, 40, 4, or 19 and go to the "Technicheskiy Universitet" (=Technical University). During the transortation first you will cross the river, then you will go up the hill, then you pass by the Kremlin of red briks and then you'll see the long red building - that is the Technical University. Then go to the parallel street (to the right according the bus way) and go back about 100 meters.

The transportation usually takes about 30 minutes.

If you have several hours before 11-30 on May, 1, please feel free to walk along the embankment (there is a nice view to the river Volga), through the Kremlin or downstairs to the river Volga and the Conqueror Ship.

How to go to the "Berezka" by car

"Berezka" is situated on a bank of the beautiful lake in the floodplain of the river "Shava".

After crossing this river please follow the direction sign "Berezka".

The route of the bus on which the participants of the school will go from the main HSE buiding to the hotel "Berezka" is shown on the maps below.

The first map shows the full path but it is in Russian, the next 3 maps are in English and show the full path in 3 parts.
