Workshop on Clustering and Search techniques in large scale networks

Workshop_picture

The Workshop/School Seminar on Clustering and Search techniques in large scale networks will take place on November 3 – 8, 2014 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. The workshop is supported by grant RSF 14-41-00039.

Clustering and search techniques are essential to a wide spectrum of applications. Network clustering techniques are becoming common in the analysis of massive data sets arising in various branches of science, engineering, government and industry. In particular, network clustering and search techniques emerge as an important tool in large-scale networks.

This workshop will provide a forum for leading as well as beginning researchers and students to discuss recent advances and identify current and future challenges arising in the research concerning clustering and search problems in large networks.

Topics to be covered in the workshop include:

-Massive datasets and large-scale networks modelings such datasets

-Network clustering and search algorithms

-Kernel-based clustering

-Computational issues with incomplete data.

-Applications

The workshop is to be hosted by the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Nizhny Novgorod on November 3 – 8, 2014.

Language of the workshop: English

Papers presented at the workshop will be considered for publication in special issue of Optimization Letters on "Clustering and Search techniques in large scale networks".
