Altannar Chinchuluun is given the National award by the President of Mongolia

Altannar Chinchuluun is given the National award for his work in optimization and contribution to applied mathematics by the President of Mongolia.

 

   

On November 26, 2012, UF Industrial & Systems Engineering Masters and PhD graduate Altannar Chinchuluun was given the title of State Laureate by the President of Mongolia, Ts. Elbegdorj. Chinchuluun was given the award for his research work, “Quasiconvex Programming and its Applications”. The award, as reported in the Ubpost News, “is given on Independence Day in recognition of outstanding achievements”. It is the nation’s highest national award in science. While he attended the University of Florida, Dr. Pardalos served as his dissertation adviser.
