Dutch businessman Cees A.M. den Teuling, Candidate DBA, managing partner/senior consultant of Orange Business Improvement, International Business Consultants, is convinced that ‘who dares, wins’. During a meeting with students at the HSE Faculty of Continuing Professional Education and Retraining in Nizhny Novgorod, he spoke about the role and importance of personnel reserve for a company, and about effective methods of strategic planning and personnel management.
He began the discussion by looking at efficiency in medium-size businesses. According to Cees A.M. den Teuling, these companies have a number of indisputable advantages. For example, they don’t spend money employing excess staff, but focus on employee productivity.
To survive the reverses of competition, a company has to develop a system of flexible management, and always plan ahead in anticipation of new opportunities, or to avoid difficult situations.
Den Teuling suggested that today in Russia there are more and more people who fit the ‘new format’, ready to manage companies, using their recently acquired innovational education.
