Abstract

The project seminar has a practical orientation. During this seminar, the knowledge and skills acquired by students in the field of management, financial management and marketing are applied. As part of the seminar, students learn the basics of organizing and conducting a management project, key practical methodologies and tools used in managment. During the practical part of the seminar, students form small project groups (5-7 people each), where they solve the tasks

  • Define the key characteristics of a project and distinguish it from routine operations in a business context.

  • Identify the roles within a cross-functional product team and demonstrate effective team structuring for collaboration.

Assessment Elements

  • non-blocking In-Class Activity
    In-Class Activity (Participation, Discussions, Case Studies, Exercises). Active participation in class through engagement in discussions, group activities, case analyses, simulations, and feedback sessions. Students are expected to contribute meaningfully and demonstrate preparation. Classroom assessment consists of two components: attendance and in-class activity.
  • non-blocking Group Project
    Each group will select or be assigned a real-world business project. The objective is to conduct a structured analysis of the project using relevant concepts and frameworks from the course. Based on this analysis, a practical and actionable plan should be developed, outlining how the project could be improved or more effectively implemented in the future. The findings and recommendations will be submitted in a concise written report and presented through a brief group presentation.
