A large-scale volunteer camp gathering was held in Nizhny Novgorod from September 30 to October 2. Students of our department studying applied linguistics and text analytics took part in the seminar and shared their experience of volunteering.

Seminar from the Academic Writing Centre HSE
On 20 September, students of Applied Linguistics and Text Analysis attended a lecture by Professor Melvin Hall, PhD in Composition and Rhetoric. They were able not only to learn about modern standards of publishing research papers, but also to test their analysis skills using concrete examples.

My short Journey at HSE
I started my master’s journey at HSE in September 2020. The program of Applied Linguistics and Text Analytics grabbed my attention because of the link established between linguistics and text analysis techniques. By far, I consider HSE is one of the best accredited institutions in Russia in that field.
