Abstract

The discipline "Macroeconomics" introduces students to key macroeconomic categories and models and gain skills in their use in theoretical and practical activities. The course covers the main problems of macroeconomic analysis: macroeconomic circulation, the most important macroeconomic indicators, theories of economic growth and alternative explanations of the business cycle phenomenon, government countercyclical fiscal and monetary policies, foreign economic relations of the country The result of mastering the discipline is the acquisition by students of: - knowledge in the field of macroeconomic analysis with a significant use of the mathematical apparatus, as well as training in the use of acquired knowledge in professional activities. - knowledge of empirical and theoretical research in two sections of macroeconomic analysis: economic growth and economic fluctuations.
