Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course in Speech Culture is designed to advance students' competence in cross-cultural and cross-linguistic communication in line with the students' specialisation. It aims at developing students’ communicative competence in all skills and aspects beyond the C1 level. The course will enable the students to acquire skills required for corporate linguistic mediation and for interpreting and translation practices.

    a 5-minute monologue (not less than 30 sentences), a dialogue of about 15 sentences for each interlocutor

    Read the book. Be ready for the discussion of its contents. Prepare an analysis of the problems raised. Prepare a glossary of 50 new terms and expressions.
