On January 28th French scholar Dominique Millet-Gérard delivered an open lecture on ‘France and Russia in the 1930s: In Search of European Christian Humanism’ in the Academic Thursday Series at HSE Nizhny Novgorod.
That’s the conclusion that the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, Utrecht, Netherlands, Associate Professor at Utrecht University Hein Roelfsema, outlined in his seminar ‘The Search for and Analysis of Entrepreneurial Opportunities’ at HSE Nizhny Novgorod.

On May 20, 2015, Dr Michael Minch, Professor of Philosophy at Utah Valley University, gave an open lecture at HSE Nizhny Novgorod.
HSE Nizhny Novgorod held a meeting with one of the most important figures on the Austrian literary scene of the last third of the C20th, winner of the Austrian Prize for Literature 1991, and the Franz Kafka prize 1993 —- Peter Rosei.
Guido Ferradini, Italian lawyer, Vice-President of the Italian Association of Labour Law Lawers (Associazione degli Avvocati Giuslavoristi Italiani), Partner at ‘Studio Legale Ferradini & Associati’ delivered a lecture on the reforms of Italian labour law at HSE Nizhny Novgorod.
In his open lecture, Professor Guillermo Owen, one of the founders of contemporary game theory, gave an overview of and introduction to the theory, and discussed different problems arising in game theory with the audience, offering concrete examples. The lecture took place in English.
The Vice-Consul of France in Russia, Jean-Pierre Guillerme, was appointed to his position two months ago. This was Jean-Pierre Guillerme’s first time visiting Nizhny Novgorod with his new title. The main purpose of the visit to HSE’s Nizhny Novgorod campus was to meet with Gennady Ryabov, who is the Honorary Consul of the French Republic in Nizhny Novgorod and Advisor to the Director of HSE Nizhny Novgorod.
Polish Ambassador to Russia Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz visited Nizhny Novgorod to give a lecture to HSE students.
Dr. Martin Wenke, Professor of Economics, Ecology and Ethics at Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, Germany, gave a lecture for Nizhny Novgorod students on the current situation in Europe as a whole, and Germany in particular.
HSE Nizhny Novgorod has become something of a hub linking businesspeople from France and representatives of leading economic sectors in the region. Students with the French Presidential Programme had a chance to meet HSE graduates who now lead or are specialists in companies in Nizhny Novgorod. The French delegation included people from the instrument-making industry, electronics firms, strategic management and organizational development, and specialists in software and other industries.
