The Russian-Chinese Summer School on Law has started at HSE Nizhny Novgorod. The Summer School is traditionally carried out by the Faculty of Law and our university’s Chinese partner, the South West University of Political Science and Law (Chongqing, China).

On July 10, 2015, students of the master’s programme in Finance majoring in Audit and Consulting successfully defended their master’s theses at Tuscia University in Viterbo, Italy.

HSE Nizhny Novgorod Management faculty students Anastasia Shikina and Alesya Zaporozhchuk have returned after a year in Austria’s Johannes Kepler University. They share their impressions of studying at our partner university.

On the 15th June the University of Bergamo held a grand closing ceremony for the international part of the Masters in Global Business. Since October 2014, 25 students from HSE Nizhny Novgorod, the Johannes Kepler University and the University of Bergamo have been studying and travelling together to courses at each of the three universities, learning about the cultural differences and particular ways of doing business in Russia, Austria and Italy.

On May 20, 2015, Dr Michael Minch, Professor of Philosophy at Utah Valley University, gave an open lecture at HSE Nizhny Novgorod.

Master's students in the Political Linguistics programme presented papers at a joint Russian-American seminar. Anastasia Alekseyeva and Ekaterina Guskova presented their research on how adults resist difficulties.

Guido Ferradini, Italian lawyer, Vice-President of the Italian Association of Labour Law Lawers (Associazione degli Avvocati Giuslavoristi Italiani), Partner at ‘Studio Legale Ferradini & Associati’ delivered a lecture on the reforms of Italian labour law at HSE Nizhny Novgorod.

In his open lecture, Professor Guillermo Owen, one of the founders of contemporary game theory, gave an overview of and introduction to the theory, and discussed different problems arising in game theory with the audience, offering concrete examples. The lecture took place in English.
