In May, Valery Zusman, Director of the Higher School of Economics – Nizhny Novgorod, delivered a lecture “Europe - Asia - Eurasia?” at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. The lecture discussed the ideas of Nicolai Trubetzkoy and Dmitry Likhachev, the scholars’ understanding of Eurasia and Scandoslavia being under scrutiny.

On September 18 – 22 Director of HSE-Nizhny Novgorod Valery Zusman visited the Korean Republic on the invitation of National Institute for International Education. The delegation, which he joined, included 14 participants from eleven countries: Germany, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia. HSE LATNA Laboratory Partners with KPMG
HSE Laboratory of Algorithms and Technologies for Network Analysis (LATNA) has entered into a collaboration agreement with KPMB, one of the biggest international companies that provides consulting and audit services. The collaboration implies cooperation on projects for the Russian and international markets, which require mastery in intellectual data analysis, computer-aided instruction and solution for complex optimization tasks.

Professor Pardalos Awarded the 2013 EURO Gold Medal
Panos M. Pardalos, the Academic Supervisor of the LATNA Laboratory, Laboratory of Algorithms and Technologies for Networks Analysis (HSE Branch in Nizhny Novgorod), the Distinguished professor of the University of Florida, has been awarded the 2013 Euro Gold Medal prize, bestowed by the Association for European Operational Research Societies for his outstanding contribution to the science development.
